  • • Payment data: billing information processed by Stripe (we do not store card details)
  • • Contact messages: name, email, and message content
  • • Newsletter: email address and subscription preferences

We also collect automatically: IP addresses (for rate limiting and upvote deduplication), page view counts per tool, and browser/device information via standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • • To operate and improve the Service
  • • To process tool submissions and paid listings
  • • To send transactional emails (account, submissions, billing)
  • • To send The Folio newsletter (if subscribed)

  • • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • • Hetzner — file storage (tool logos, screenshots)
  • • Law enforcement when required by law

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Tool submissions are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are retained for 2 years.
